Privacy Policy for Qalithra Mobile Applications

1. Information Collection and Use

Wifi Net Heat Map is designed to function primarily offline. We are committed to protecting your privacy and collecting only the minimum data necessary for the App's functionality.

a. Data You Provide Directly:

Floor Plan Images: If you use the "Load Floor Plan" feature, the App accesses the image you select from your device's storage. This image is copied into the App's private storage directory to be associated with your heatmap session. We do not transmit this image off your device. It is stored locally on your device for your use within the App.

Heatmap Data: The signal strength (RSSI), frequency, network name (SSID), and coordinate data you generate are stored locally on your device in session files within the App's private storage directory. This data is not transmitted to us or any third party.

b. Data Collected Automatically for Core Functionality:

Wi-Fi Scan Results: To create a heatmap, the App requires permission to access your device's Wi-Fi state and perform Wi-Fi scans. This allows the App to read the names (SSIDs), signal strengths (RSSI), and frequencies of nearby Wi-Fi networks. This data is used solely for display within the App at your request and for creating your heatmap data points. It is not collected, stored remotely, or transmitted by us.

Location Permission (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION): Modern Android versions require location permission to be granted to perform Wi-Fi scans that return network identifiers (SSIDs). Our App requests this permission for the sole purpose of enabling Wi-Fi scanning. We do not actively collect, use, store, or transmit your device's GPS location data.

c. Data Collected by Third-Party Services:

Google AdMob (Free Version Only): The free version of the App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data to provide personalized ads. This can include device identifiers (like the Advertising ID), IP address, and information about your interaction with ads. Google Play Billing Library (Pro Version Upgrade): If you choose to purchase the Pro version, the Google Play Billing Library is used to process the transaction. We receive confirmation of the purchase from Google to unlock pro features but do not collect or store sensitive payment information like credit card numbers. Your purchase is processed securely by Google. Please refer to Google Play's Terms of Service for more details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the core functionality of the App.
• To enable you to save and load your heatmap sessions locally on your device.
• To display advertisements in the free version of the App.
• To process your one-time purchase for the Pro version upgrade.

3. Data Storage and Security

All data you create within the App (heatmap data points, floor plan images) is stored locally in the App's private data directory on your device. This data is under your control and is deleted if you uninstall the App. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. All data generated by you within the App remains on your device unless you explicitly choose to share it using the "Export" features (e.g., exporting a CSV or PNG image).

This does not include trusted third-party services (Google AdMob, Google Play Billing) who assist us in operating our App, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential and have their own privacy policies.

5. User Choices and Control

Permissions: You can manage the App's permissions (Wi-Fi, Location, Storage) at any time through your device's system settings. Disabling necessary permissions may cause certain features of the App to stop working.

Advertising: You can opt out of personalized advertising by resetting your Advertising ID or enabling "Limit Ad Tracking" in your device's settings.

Data Deletion: You can delete all your heatmap data and floor plans by using the "Clear Data" and "Clear Floor Plan" features within the App or by uninstalling the App.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take necessary actions.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
